It is with great sadness we announce the tragic passing of Mario. He was predeceased by his great grandparents, J.B. Kaiswatum and Nympha (nee Deiter); maternal grandparents, John and Marjorie Tawiyaka; Paternal Mushum, Ambrose Kaiswatum; his son Kieran Anton Kaiswatum & his nephew Kyland Tawiyaka.

He is survived by his partner, Vanessa Yuzicappi; sons, Zane and Ardell; daughter Nevaeh; Kokum, Maryanne Kaiswatum; mother, Inez Tawiyaka; stepfather, Darwin Keshane; Father, Randy Kaiswatum (Raelee Bear and her children Adrian, Neigel and Jaylene); brothers Anthony (Veronica), Kirk (Melanie, & their children Cassius, Cassia, and Maliya), Randall (Cheyna, & their children Kyla, Randall, Konnor, Taron, Kianna, Pavel, Ryker & Cheyden), and Darren Tawiyaka; Sisters Cheryl (her children Austin, Zoey & Ayden), Joy (Marlyn, & their children Dale, Jaylith, Harlom, Kaitlyn and Juelz); Aunties Shirley Kaiswatum, Donna Kaiswatum (Brian Pratt), Marilyn Kaiswatum (Fenton Paquachan), Lisa Tawiyaka, Tina Tawiyaka; Uncles Garner Kaiswatum (Charlene), Darryl Kaiswatum, Charles Kaiswatum, James Kaiswatum (Jima), Ralph Tawiyaka, Conrad(Roberta)Tawiyaka, Bryce Tawiyaka, Eddie(Landa) Tawiyaka & special uncles Jason Kaiswatum (Charity) and Calvin (Kite) Kaiswatum; Special cousins Coleman Kaiswatum, Justine Kaiswatum (Bryden Bear), Raven Kaiswatum-Sayer, Amy Kaiswatum, Chris Kaiswatum (Kristen), Calvin Kaiswatum Jr. (Tyra), Kyle Friday, Godmother Eileen Bear(children Johnathon, Jonas, Eugene Jr. & River) as well as many other cousins and friends too numerous to mention.

A wake will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2016 at 4:00PM in the Standing Buffalo School Gymnasium. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday January 7, 2016 at 11:00AM in The Standing Buffalo School Gymnasium. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Light Cemetery, Standing Buffalo, Dakota Nation.
