Marion passed away peacefully with her family by her side September 16, 2017. Born on the farm near Amazon, SK, Nov 26, 1926 along with her twin sister Margaret to Adam Linton and Violet Victoria King. Marion is survived by her daughter, Sheri Stirling, Grandaughter Juland (Paul) & Grandson Jarrod Holmes, her brother Neal (Linda) King, Joanne Munro and many nieces, nephews and family.
Marion was a long time employee of Regina Exhibition Assoc. She loved curling and was a member of the Caledonian curling club for most of her life. Her other passion was sports and had seasons tickets for the Sask Roughriders since 1957. She was retired for almost 30 years and stayed busy gardening, doing puzzles and the most difficult Sudokus. She never drove but rode her bike to all destinations within the city. She volunteered for major Curling events, both Grey Cups and the Cathedral Village Community Center and one of the founders of the Big Blue Box recycling depot.
She was greatly loved and will be missed dearly. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday Sept 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Victoria Avenue Funeral home, 2080 Victoria Ave. Regina. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
