Born on December 12, 1934, the eldest to John and Ann Zaremba, Marjorie (Mary) Birch passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2013. Marjorie is survived by, her three children from her marriage to J.A. Tony Birch. Her two sons, Wayne (Pia) of Phoenix, Arizona; Gary (Michelle) of Vancouver, BC and one daughter Audrey-Anne (Geoff) McIvor of Winnipeg. Marjorie is also survived by two brothers: Stanley Zaremba (Lois) of Lawrence, Kansas and John Zaremba (Sherry) of Calgary, AB. Left to miss her apple crisps and her excellent cabbage rolls are nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Marjorie was born in Spring Valley, SK and moved with her parents to a farm in Lumsden, SK when she was 10 years old. Most of her life was spent in Regina, although she did live in Kenora, Ont., Churchill, MB., Winnipeg, MB and some time in BC. Marjorie enjoyed visiting with her many friends and relatives in Regina and found great comfort in St. George Orthodox Church. A Prayer service will be held at the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue Regina, SK on Thursday August 15, 2013, at 7:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013, at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar St. Regina, SK at 1:00PM. A luncheon will be held at 3:00 pm at the Hotel Saskatchewan Radisson Plaza, 2125 Victoria Ave, Regina, SK, to celebrate Marjorie’s life. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care given by the Elmview Extendicare. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Regina Humane Society, Highway 6 Armour Rd, Regina, SK S0G 5K0.
