Maxine Emelia Oltean, 82 years, passed away peacefully at Pasqua Hospital in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 11, 2022 after battling a short illness, not COVID-19 related. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 27, 1939.
She is predeceased by her parents Ralph and Olga (Gitzel) Schultz, husband John Oltean, brother and sisters in law, Glen Kulak, Elaine Schultz and Koreen Schultz.
She is survived by her children: Jerry Redshaw, Donna (Bill) Mitchell, Diana Redshaw, Lorraine (Dale)Von-Hagen, Ronald (Amber) Redshaw, and Robert (Pamela) Redshaw and countless grand-children and great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings; Peggy (Bernard) Bernheim, Jean Kulak, Lorne Schultz, Reg (Coba) Schultz and Greg Schultz
She will be remembered for her exceptional ability to beat the odds of cancer of not one, but two aggressive forms, her witty sense of humour and her aggressive competitiveness whilst playing bingo or other games of chance.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK. Those wishing to can join us online on Lee Funeral Home and Crematorium Facebook page. Maxine will be laid to rest with her Mom and Dad at the West Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Edmonton.
