Mervin Heisler

The Lord has taken Mervin to his heavenly home on Friday, January 7, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Katherine Heisler; brother-in-law Gary Meisel; nephew Garth Meisel; niece Trina Meisel; in-laws Nick and Georgina Wiome, and nephew Wade Weimer. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Sharon; children Collin Heisler (Lisa); Carmen, and Tracey Schaffer; grandchildren Tristan Heisler (Miranda), Kiera Heisler (Shane), Ryan Schaffer, and Robin Schaffer (Rylan); sister Darlene (Walter) Beutler; brothers Glenn (Marj) Heisler, Darcy and (Lorelei) Heisler; sister-in-law Marilyn (Albert) Weimer, brothers-in-law Glenn (Donna) Wiome, Neil (Wanda) Wiome, as well as many numerous nephews and nieces and loving friends.

Mervin was born May 7, 1947 and grew up on his family farm outside of Vibank, raising his family and taking care of his beloved cattle. He enjoyed his sports such as curling and softball, along with coaching and watching his children and grandchildren's numerous sports. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, he loved playing games and cards with each and every one of them. Mervin was very active in his community and church, serving on many committees. Later in life Mervin and Sharon moved to Regina where they enjoyed visiting with family and friends playing cards and watching sports on the television.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Pasqua Hospital for the excellent care they gave Mervin in his time of need. A memorial service for the immediate family will be held at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of Merv's life at a later date.
