Norman will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Rosanna (Gerard) Durocher. He is also survived by his two brothers Rene and Jerry Durocher. He also leaves to mourn his children; Maureen (Kelly) Bandas, Barbara (Jay) Kozack, Norman (Margaret) Durocher Jr., Sheryl Durocher. His 8 grandchildren; Amanda, Shawn, Stacy, Sharon, Clarke, Clinton, Shelley, Alanda. His 8 great grandchildren; Latrell, Desiree, Sienna, Zaiden, Maci, Aimin, Noah, and Ava. One lifelong friend, Jerry Villeneuve, and many other close friends and relatives. Norman was born on October 17, 1943 in Ile-a-la-Crosse, SK. Norman and Rosanna made their home in various communities throughout Saskatchewan where they raised their four children eventually settling in Regina in 1979. Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and watching nature shows. He loved being outside and close to mother earth and nature. Throughout his years, he had many careers, he worked at the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, Regina Friendship Centre and University of Regina. His greatest passion was telling stories, especially to his grandchildren. Our family is very close due to the special love shared between Norman and Rosanna - they renewed their wedding vows at a special ceremony on October 13th of last year. He loved his wife dearly as well as his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We are all very saddened by his sudden passing. Norman played a big role in our lives, he always cheered us on and told each one of us how much he loved us and how proud he was. His family meant the world to him. Memories is all we have now of him and they will be cherished in our hearts forever. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:30am at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK.
