Paul Lakeman

1929-2016

Of White City, passed away surrounded by his family on January 25, 2016. Paul is survived by his partner Ethel Leibel and her family; his children, Karen (Brad), Kevin (Jane), Jo-Anne (Dave), Lyle (Darlene) and Dale; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister Madge; brothers Philip (Beth), Art (Sylvia) and Johnny. He was predeceased by his parents Morris and Mary Lakeman; siblings Mickey, David and Mary Louise. Paul was a longtime business owner, beginning in 1952 with the purchase of Flash Delivery; he then owned and operated Lakeman Transport and Lakeman Rentals for many years. In 1972 Paul purchased a farm in Osage, SK where he farmed until 1982 and then purchased land in White City. He was an avid antique tractor collector and auction goer. Paul took pride in his annual Threshing demonstrations held in the Fall on Corky’s Gopher Ranch. Paul’s family invite you to celebrate his life during a Memorial gathering on Friday, January 29 between 2:30PM- 4:30PM at Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, 2080 Victoria Avenue East, Regina SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment will take place at a later date in Osage, SK.
