Blair is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Louise; his children William (Faith) Lansdell, Richard (Toni) Lansdell, and Sarah Lansdell (his babe); grandchildren Thea and Thaddeus; brothers Brian (Debbie) Rollman and Terry Lansdell of Yellow Grass; sister Jackie (Henry) Smith of Weyburn; as well as many other treasured nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law. Blair was predeceased by his parents Lawrence (Rip) and Dorothy Lansdell.
Blair was born in Weyburn and lived in Yellow Grass where he met his future wife, Louise. Soon after he graduated, he moved to Calgary to attend Mount Royal College to study broadcasting. After graduating there, he started working at a radio station in Lloydminster, then moved to Saskatoon and began work at CFQC TV. Blair finally settled down in Regina and started to work at Canada Post as a Postal Supervisor, where he remained until his retirement.
Blair was a larger than life man. He knew everyone and everyone knew and loved him. He was an avid baseball card collector and his children loved to tag along to card shops whenever he went. Blair will be remembered as a huge music lover. He played in a rock n’ roll band all through his teenage years and especially loved to blast rock n’ roll in the car (as long as Louise wasn’t there), much to the delight of his children. They have many fond memories of gravel roads, beautiful sunny days, and Blair’s Ozzman Cometh CD. In his later years, Blair enjoyed walking, going out for breakfast with friends, and going on frequent road trips to Minot and Las Vegas. Both vacation spots were dear to his heart. Although his light may have dimmed, his warm and loving spirit lives on in our hearts. Until we meet again.
