Sheila was born on a farm near Leross, SK on June 20, 1941 to Nora and Ken Reeme. As a child she attended Granatier school. She spent time swimming in the dugout, and in the winter, she skated and tobogganed on car hoods. Sheila had a pony, and a dog named Pal. She married Walter in August of 1957, and a year later became a Mom. She devoted her time to her children and grandchildren and was always all about family. She was adamant about right and wrong, she taught us to be kind, understanding and respectful.
She loved music, dancing, cooking, baking, painting, knitting and loved watching CSI and Criminal Minds. She was a real prankster as a child and all throughout her life. She was a gentle soul with a big heart and a witty sense of humour. Sheila never had a drivers license but got behind the wheel of an ATV or side-by-side. She loved sitting on the deck looking at the water, sitting in the park watching the geese, or just holding our hands. She loved to be outside in the garden and loved the smell of rain. Sheila was grateful for what little she had and never asked for anything. She gave us everything we needed and we always felt so very rich.
Her favorite color was baby blue, her favorite thing to eat was fish, pie and kfc …...
….. and we all like to think we were her favorite child.
She will live on in our memories and through our spirit. She was amazing.
