It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved kokum, mother, aunt, niece and wonderful sister Sherry Lynn McKay. She leaves behind her four handsome sons Dwayne, Chance, Daynen and Jaden as well as all her adopted boys that she took into her life and loved like her own. She was predeceased by her grandsons Alonzo (Handsomeman) McKay, Jayden Boyd McKay; parents Sandra and Johnny Kaiswatum; grandparents Edith and Angus McKay. She is survived by her siblings Shawna, Nathan, Stacy (Joey), Angus Kaiswatum, Grant, Lonny and little sister Chey; grandchildren Jaydah Lee Ann Soerensen/Lavallee, Tadeas Ethan McKay and a grandbaby on the way. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special relatives, too many to mention. A viewing will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A Wake will be held at Kiniswapit Gymnasium, Muscowpetung First Nation on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A Burial will follow at Muscowpetung First Nations Cemetery with a meal after.
