Grandma, I still cant believe you are gone.  It is hard for me to process and watching my mom hurt and crumble from missing you is heartbreaking. Mom was always there for you and did everything for you. She was constantly visiting and setting aside her own duties to be there for you. Bringing you food when you needed it, and especially when your elevator was broken and she would haul stuff up 4 flights of stairs to get it to you so that you wouldn't be without. She was one person you could rely on.
She loved you so much 
I got close to you Grandma when you moved in with us.
 I got see yours and moms bond first hand.  Through your relationship I got to see how selfless and strong my mom really is.
I remember when you cried because you were so worried about Amy and I moving to Calgary 
You were my first pen pal and I was yours. I still have all your letters. I remember how sad you were when mom moved to calgary and you would always write to me about how much you miss her. You were so happy when she came back. 
You loved my kids and said it all the time. You made sure they knew who great grandma was and for that I thank you. 
I thank you for loving us and for being my friend and my Grandma. 
You were always open and honest and I admire you for that.

My dear friend Joanne, the close relationship you had with your Mom is my memory.  I was with you many times when your Mom’s nightly call came to you.  I watched you dial her up quickly and include her when we sat around the campfire, a song played on your playlist would trigger your response to call your Mom and let her listen with us!  You have so many cherished memories that will help you through the tough days ahead.  Remember she is always with you, loves you and if there were cell phones in heaven she would give you that nightly call.  Love and hugs, Cheryl and Mark.

My Dear Mom, I still cannot believe this has happened! I was not done yet. You and I were probably as close as a mother and daughter could be. I made a point to be with you at least every 2nd day. You always told me how much you loved me coming over. You and I did so many things together! How you loved playing Yahtzee with me even though I usually won. But the last few times you were the winner and laughed at me that you now have the crown. Little did you know that you always had the crown in my eyes! You were my mother, and my best friend! You were always there for me as I was for you! I am sorry that I could not help you the one last time you needed me in the hospital. I tried my best but, God was stronger than me and I lost the tug o war. He needed you Mom! I LOVE you and will miss you always! 

It has been a blessing to have had the privilege of knowing Shirley.  I am grateful for the caring and compassion she has  shown and given during her time here.  It's a comfort knowing she and Zoly are together again.  You will be missed Shirley and I will miss our talks, letters and our friendship.

Hey grandma,
There's one memory that I have of us that warns my heart to this day. We were visiting you one evening, I'm not sure if I was still pregnant with Michael or not but anyways, we were visiting you when I made the offhand comment that I was really craving pierogies, and you mentioned that you had perogies and you make super tasty perogies, to stress we never asked you to make it for us, you just got up, made those perogies (best perogies I have ever had by the way) and we sat down around your little table and had a hearty supper with you. We told stories and laughed and you always had to make sure I had enough to eat. 
Heck even when we went to visit at your new place, you always wanted me to make sure that I had something to drink or eat. I was always so polite and shy. I never wanted to anger you even though you pretty much said that I could do what I needed. I needed water?? Well don't ask just go get it. Want a snack?? I'll see what i have for you. You even had to make double sure Michael had something to eat and drink. You even had to make sure it was 100% peanut free because you didn't want anything to happen to that little guy.

Grandma, Where do I begin?

I have lots of favorite memories from sitting on the porch with you and Grandpa drinking rootbeer floats, to Grandpa helping me cheat in checkers when we played. He always snuck in a kinged piece.

There's also the memories we had at your first Regina home where we lost Grandpa when I'd spend the summers with you, then as we got older I introduced you to my wife Rachel, who in time gave us little Michael. 

Yes it's sad that your gone and I do wish we could have had atleast one more year together, where we could have been at my house, sitting on my deck having rootbeer floats with me, Michael and Rachel. It would have been nice to show you my home finally completed, it would have been nice to have one more birthday, one more Christmas, one more year. 

You lived a good life and I want to thankyou for the memories.

Mom...where do I even begin??? 

This is all so very unreal to me that you are gone. When the Doctors said you only have approximately 1-2 hours I was still in denial. You were being discharged the very next day to come home. We were finally having our mini Christmas & exchanging our gifts. I have 2 Christmas meals frozen for you to enjoy. Actually your gift is still under my tree and I haven’t opened yours. 

Mom I am glad I was able to tell you in the hospital that I was so Blessed to have you as my mom. You did the absolute best you knew how. I love you so much & will miss you. You said “I love you” and fell in a soft gentle sleep. 1&1/2 hours later you were gone. 

I truly do not know how I will carry on, now that both you & dad are gone. My family roots have all disappeared.
