It is with profound sadness that the family of Tanya Marie Cote announce her passing on April 22, 2026, in Regina, SK, at the age of 46 years. Tanya was born on June 11, 1979, in Regina, SK.

Tanya is predeceased by her grandparents, Florence and Andrew Bird, Audrey Cote, Thom Kaiswatum, Duncan Cote, Elwood Friday; father, Ivan Bird; brothers, Darren P., Bill P., Claude C.; sister, Shelley Bird; niece, Nikita; nephew, Latrell; and son, Justin Willier. She is survived by her mother, Charlene Cote; sons, Chainey Kennedy, Shane Kennedy; daughter, Akacia Severight; step-daughters, Jori Calvert, Toby Calvert; sisters, Michelle Cote, Shelly, Merle, Charmaine, Karen; brother, Travis Cote (Ashley Cote); nieces and nephews, Tyra Cote (Landon), Ricki Cote, Dylan Cote, Steven H., Tristen R. (Angel); auntie, Cheryl; grandchildren, Johnny Kennedy, Issac Kennedy, Shine Stiles, Lillian Rope; adoptive sons, Aiden Josie, Tyrane Badger, Nathaniel Moose, Terrell Redwood, Earlin Quewezance, Darian Klyne; and many other cousins, aunties and uncles.

Tanya had many adoptive sons that she loved as her own. Everywhere she went she made friends she called family. Tanya was loving, caring, and respected in the community. Everyone knew her. She took all her boys friends as her own, no questions asked. Tanya would open her doors for them, no matter the time of day. Tanya’s children were her world.

The wake service will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 5:00PM, at the Indigenous Christian Fellowship, 3131 Dewdney Ave, Regina. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 11:00AM at Lee Funeral Home and Crematorium, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Ave E, Regina.
