It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Ursula Marie Andreas (nee Laframboise) Otakwanacahkos “Evening Star” on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Regina, SK. Ursula was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Napoleon and Annie Lavallee (nee Feather); paternal grandparents Sidney and Gussie Isaac; her mother Beatrice Laframboise (nee Lavallee); brothers Leslie, Gilbert, Dana, Louie, and Noel Laframboise; and sister April Cote. Ursula is survived by her husband Bruce Andreas; father Henry Isaac; sisters Lynda (Gaylord) Pelletier and Erisa Sheepskin; brother Henry Eugene Laframboise (Jolene); uncle John Lavallee (Sharon); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, and all of her sister and brother warriors. Ursula never had children, she considers her two dogs Bobbie and Jorden and one cat Nicky her children. Ursula has always loved living in the hood, she lived there all her life, which is why she helped out many organizations like SWAP, North Central and Indigenous Christian Fellowship. She walked across Saskatchewan for the MISSING INDIGENOUS PERSONS. Took down John A. MacDonald's Statue in Victoria Park, as well as Father Hugonard Statue in Lebret, Saskatchewan. Participated in many protests on Albert Street, the Laydowns, and feeding the homeless for 10 years, in which her husband Bruce Andreas will continue in her name “Star”. Star received the Queen Jubilee Medal for all of the work she has done in their neighborhood. Star and Bruce Andreas also started up the "Flash Mob Round Dance" in the Cornwall Center.
