She was predeceased by her parents John and Connie Kokotailo.
Valerie is survived by her siblings Kate, Teri (Jim), Kevin (Rhonda) and Sheila; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and her beloved standard poodle, Tallulah.
Valerie was born in Regina, SK and graduated from O’Neill High School and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Saskatchewan. She worked in various careers throughout her years, including work in the film industry, a position with the University of Regina Music Department and, most recently, in administration with the RCMP.
Valerie loved animals, especially dogs. She fostered and adopted numerous elderly dogs over the years and was very active in the greyhound dog community.
She will be remembered and missed by her family, friends and co-workers. Those so wishing may make a donation in her memory to the charity your choice.
A private family memorial will be held on a later date.
