

Walter passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the age of 94 years. He was predeceased by his wife Vera in 2012 and by one sister, Anne Hall. Left to mourn Walter’s passing is two sons, Peter (Lisa Boucher) and their children Blaine, Shelley (Dave – Dylan and Andrew), Chad (Jennifer – Landen and Carter), Jhanean (son Jasper) and Rory; Phillip (Lynn) and their children Kevin (Tracy – Terrell and Dayton), Kelly (Leanne Tuchscherer), Steven (Tricia) and John; as well as his special friend Darlene Connell. Walter served with the 9th field squadron – 4th Armored Division Royal Canadian Engineers from 1941 to 1945. During this time he married Vera in England in 1944. After the war, he was receiving manager at Marshalls Wells and Sterling Distributers until his retirement in 1985. Walter was an avid bowler and received many awards. Both Walter and Vera were avid Rider fans and had season tickets for over 60 years. Walter was a long time Legion member, and was very active in their activities and fund raisers. The family would like to thank the staff of Wascana Rehab Veterans Ward 3-6 for the overall great care.
