Barry Paul Naus Sr., 79, of Kutztown, PA entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born August 2, 1941 in West Reading, he was the son to the late Robert L. and Dorothy I. (Ritter) Naus.
Barry was a Reading High School graduate, class of 1959. He proudly served his country, enlisting in the US Air Force on March 18, 1959 and was honorably discharged on December 11, 1962.
Barry worked as a Police Dispatcher at the Reading Police Dept. for over 20 years,until his retirement. He was also the proud owner of Lincoln Specialties and drove cars for Bob Fisher Chevrolet.
He was a collector of many things and a true Chevy enthusiast. Barry owned over 400 Chevrolet's at one point in his life and was a member of the Chevy Nova Club. He also enjoyed collecting all the state quarters.
Barry knew no stranger. Everyone he came across soon became a friend and was subjected to his witty banter and humor. You never knew what words would come out of his mouth next, but you were never really surprised with what it was either. He will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known him.
Barry's spirit will be carried on by his son Barry P. Naus Jr. and his wife Tammy, of Birdsboro, PA; 2 daughters Pamela A. Richards and her husband Craig, of Idaho; Julie Yeaman and her husband Todd, of South Carolina; 3 step daughters Sandra Santiago and her husband David, of Kutztown, PA; Shelley Gibo and her husband John, of Florida; Sherry Moore and her husband Richard, of Lewisburg, PA; and step son Ralph Smith, of Kutztown, PA.
Barry also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 30 step great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Barry was greeted in heaven by his beloved wife Anna L. Naus and brother Robert C. Naus.
A viewing for Barry will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606. Funeral service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 12:00 PM, with Rev. Denise Roberts officiating. Graveside committal with military honors will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606.
