

Born in Reading on May 9, 1925, Carl was the son of the late Raymond and Edith (Stewart) Buller. He was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School. On September 28, 1950, Carl was inducted into the US Army and served until he was Honorably Discharged on August 17, 1956.
Carl was a man of many trades but most notably he was a bartender at his late sister’s bar, Ollie’s Cocktail Lounge on 9th & Spring Sts. He was also employed with Parish Pressed Steel as a Time Keeper, Charlie’s Chips and Reading Meats as a driver and at Sears, selling vacuums.
He was very active in Teutonia Lodge No. 367, Free& Accepted Masons and in good standing as a Grand Elect Mason; Prince of Jerusalem; Knight of Rose Croix and Prince of the Royal Secret. Carl was known for his singing and sang with the Rajah Shrine Chanter’s.
Carl whistled like a bird and was known as a ladies man. When he was employed with Parish, he played slow pitch softball. He enjoyed bowling and was on many leagues. He is known as an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, especially the Phillies.
Surviving are two daughters: Cynthia Reiss of Virginia and Cathy Buller of Reading; a son: Carl A. Buller and his wife, Darla of Reading; and three grandchildren: Brian Buller and his wife, Melissa of Reading, Marcus Rolon of Reading and Corey Buller of Royersford.
Carl is predeceased by a son: Brian G. Buller; a brother: Kenneth Buller and a sister; Olive Parenti.
A Memorial Service will be at 12pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606. Family and friends are asked to meet at 11:30am on Wednesday in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 w. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 196001.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner Hospitals for Children of Philadelphia, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
