Charles E. Eberwein, 92 of The Heritage at Green Hills, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was the husband of Dr. Claire Morris Eberwein.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late George and Emma (VanArtsdalen) Eberwein.
He graduated from the Philadelphia Boys High School in 1945 and attended Drexel University, studying engineering. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Coast Guard.
Charles worked as an engineer all his working years and was the manager of the Pennsylvania pipeline project for Sunoco/Sun Oil.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Charles Eberwein of Tampa, Florida and 1 grandson. He was predeceased by his brothers, George and Russell and his sister Evie.
A Memorial Service will be held in Auman’s, Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, Pa. 19606 on THURSDAY, February 4, 2021 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Schwarzwald Cemetery.
