Dennis Lynn Walters Sr., 65, of Reading, passed away May 2, 2015 in The Reading Hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was born in Philadelphia on August 5, 1949, a son of the late Wilbur Sr. and Betty (Douglass) Walters.
In 1966 Dennis began working at the the Pottsville Hospital/Warne Clinic, Pottsville, PA. He started as an orderly, then as a dietary aide, and later as a housekeeper. Dennis worked there for almost 40 years, retiring in 2007. His favorite hobbies were maintaining antique and classic era cars. He won many competitive trophies. He also enjoyed cooking.
Surviving are 2 sons, Dennis J. Walters Jr., of Brooklyn, NY; and Joshua L. Walters, of Reading. There are 6 siblings: Wilbur Walters Jr., John Walters, Robert Walters, Charolette Walters, Gail Walters, and Cindy Walters. Dennis was predeceased by his siblings: Guy Carl Walters, Gary Walters and Liz Walters. Services are entrusted with Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton. www.aumansinc.com
