He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Marie (Bodanza) Tandlmayer. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Anton and Magdelina (Steiner) Tandlmayer.
He was employed as a Machinist with Textile Machine Works for 40 years until retiring. He was a 1935 graduate of Reading High School and a 1938 graduate of Wyomissing Polytech.
He played baseball for Gregg Post Key Jrs. in 1933 and 1934, winning the state championship in 1933. He was also a member of St. Catharine R.C. Church, Mount Penn.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, John and Rudolph and by his beloved dog, Frantz.
A graveside Inurnment service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
