

He was born February 9, 1929 in Reading, the son of Paul M. Blank and Emma E. (Kaucher) Blank.
James served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired after many years of service as a custodian at the Reading Area School District. James was a member of St. Thomas UCC and was a Reading High School graduate.
He is survived by his wife, Doris A. Blank, whom he married on Sept 25, 1954. Also surviving are his three sons, Brian L. Blank, Michael J. Blank and his wife, Brenda, and Jeff S. Blank; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. James is also survived by his sister, Margaret Fenstermacher.
Friends and family will be received at the Auman Funeral Home, Reiffton, on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association , P.O. Box 15120 Chicago, IL 60693.
