It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan S. Robinson Marshall. The Lord saw she was tired so he said take my hand come with me on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Joan was born in Reading on October 16, 1928 a daughter of the late Eugene A. and Blanche (Spencer) Robinson.
Joan was a true and faithful member of Washington Presbyterian Church. She was educated in Reading School District participating in sports at Southwest Jr. High and Reading Sr. High School. Joan received her Bachelor Degree at RACC in 1974 and took several courses at A&T College in N.C. and also Penn State. She enjoyed knitting, coloring and playing cards in her spare time. Joan was a very dedicated woman raising seven children while working and furthering her education. She was a strong and selfless Mother who was more than our Mother, she was our world, No one was better than our Mother.
She leaves to mourn; children, Stephen J., Sharon L. (William), Lyra J.(Sam), Guy B., Tammy R. (Derrick) and Jan H., 7 grandchildren; Che' A., Sonja M., Desemer J., Faith L., Shannin L., Stephen J., Elijah G., 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren with one soon to arrive.
Joan will be met in Heaven with her siblings; Eugene, James, Gerald, Mazie, Bettie, daughter, Cecelia R. grandson, Shawn E., great grandson, Che'.
Joan will be truly missed by 2 special nieces, Sylvia and Brigitte, as well as good friends, Bobbie, Irvin and Flash.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday June 6, 2022 at 12 noon in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hills Memorial Park following the service..
