John Edward Griffin

He was the husband of Patricia A. (Manturi) Griffin

Born in Millington, New Jersey, he was a son of the late John and Florence (Burden) Griffin.

John graduated from Ridge High School, Basking Ridge, NJ and went to Mercer County Community College and DuCret School of Art. He was employed in various positions over the years working as an artist, groundskeeper and doing auto body work until retiring. John's passion was art and painting. He also enjoyed nature and antique trucks, owning a vintage antique Ford truck.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, John W. Griffin and wife Christine of Sinking Spring and Joseph D. Griffin and wife Patricia of Marysville, PA. Also surviving is his daughter Amy Cronkhite and husband Frank of Rehrersburg. He is also survived by his siblings Paul Griffin of Lititz and James Griffin of Bethel and Carol Bloomfield of Hendersonville, NC. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Anna Ruth Griffin on November 24, 2020.

A graveside service for John will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Road, Reading, Pa. (Exeter Township) 19606 at 1:00 pm. Friends and family may line up in procession in the cemetery entrance right hand driveway. Contributions in John's memory may be made to Bringing Hope Home, 641 Swedesford Road, Malvern, Pa. 19355
