Lawrence (Larry) Frank Lubas, 74, of Mt. Penn passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at his residence and surrounded by his loving family. Born November 22, 1946 in Reading, PA he was the cherished son of the late Frank and Catherine (Dziedzic) Lubas.
Larry was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1964; a US Navy veteran and a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Penn.
Larry made a career as an Electronic Technician working at Security First, Security Service, and Boscov’s Electronics. He was the proud owner /operator of Mt. Penn Video and Electronic Security. He was also a gifted guitarist and loved performing as a member of Cambridge, Hocus Pocus Polka Band and The Ad-Ventures.
Larry enjoyed deep sea fishing, watching action movies, and going to Myrtle Beach and Wildwood. He was also a fan of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. However, above all else he absolutely treasured spending time with his loving family.
Larry’s spirit will be carried on by his beloved wife, Kathleen F. (Snyder) Lubas; son Robert L. Lubas; daughter Elenore F. Sowal and her husband Chet; brother Frank Lubas and his wife Kristine; sister Joan Morawczynski and her husband John; and 3 grandkitties Duke, Steve and Eydie. Larry also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Family & friends will be greeted at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606 on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A graveside committal service will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Rd. Reading, PA 19606, with Rev. Debbie Derby officiating.
