OBITUARY

Linda Jean McCord

August 9, 1945July 1, 2020

Linda Jean McCord, age 74, of Birdsboro, entered eternal rest on Wednesday July 1, 2020, at Penn State Health – St. Joseph. Linda was born August 9, 1945 in Reading, PA to the late Winfield and Fern (Anderson) Button.

Linda worked as a operator at Lucent Technologies for 30 years and managed the Exeter Township Rite-Aid for 10 years.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed going to the Casinos and she especially loved playing bingo. However, she absolutely treasured spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Linda’s spirit will be carried on by her husband of 54 years, Gary McCord; 4 sons Timothy McCord and his wife Christine, of Roanoke, VA; Michael McCord, of Reading; Shawn McCord, of York; Jason McCord and his wife Kimberly, of Warfield, VA; daughter Bambi Aikens Golden, of CA; 2 brothers Thomas Button and his wife Barbara, of Reading; Jeffery Button and his wife Debra, of Adamstown. Linda also leaves behind grandchildren, great grandchildren and 3 step brothers to cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Linda was greeted in heaven by; daughter Sherry Creasy and brother John Button.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton. It has been an honor serving Linda’s loving family.

I met Mrs. Linda McCord at Turkey Hill. She is one of my best costumer there, always very pleasant and kind. I miss her when I left Turkey Hill.
