Mary Emma McKinney

Mary E. McKinney, 97, passed away Tuesday March 2, 2021 in her Reading residence. She was predeceased by her husband, L. Kenneth McKinney on Oct. 13, 2011. Mary was born n Reading on May 1, 1923 the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Mary C. (Shultz) Smorey. She was a Reading High School graduate and was a marriage license clerk for Berks County, and retired in 1986 from the PA Dept. of Welfare where she served as a case worker for blind pensioners.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving is her son, Kenneth and his wife Annetta McKinney, granddaughter Allison and her husband Chris Garner and 3 great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Smorey.

Services will be Monday March 8, 2021 at 11am in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Viewing from 10;30 until time of service. www.aumansinc.com
