Phil was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1999. He honorably served four years in the U.S Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. Post 9/11, The Kitty Hawk was deployed to the North Arabian Sea for Operation Enduring Freedom, followed by port stops in Guam, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney.
Phil was a faithful member at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Sinking Spring. He was employed at Reading Hospital for 14 years and more recently employed at Amazon in Hamburg, since November 2020.
Phil had a big, kind heart and lent a helping hand to many who needed assistance moving house or a lift somewhere. He was an avid Eagles football fan and enjoyed cooking and shared his famous chicken and steak fajitas with many. However above all else, Phil especially enjoyed spending time with his fiancé as well as family and all of his cousins through the years.
In addition to his parents, Brian and Anne, of Calabash, NC and brother, Steven T. Hutcheson, of Washington, DC, Phil's spirit will be carried on by his fiancé and the love of his life, Agustina (Elizabeth) Acevedo and her daughters, Mya Monroig and Alize Lugo. Phil also leaves behind several treasured aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish his memory.
Family & friends will gather to celebrate Phil's life at Auman's Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton, PA 19606 on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial service will promptly commence at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with Pastor Eric Goldsborough and Pastor Brandon Fasig officiating. Inurnment at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private and at the discretion of Phil's family.
