Roger Noel Brown

Roger N. Brown, 86, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 in Tower Health Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Roger is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Pickering) Brown who would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on November 15. He was born in Reading on December 25, 1935 a son of the late Walter E. and Bertha E. (Buehrer) Brown. Roger was employed by the state as a maintenance supervisor for many years retiring there. He was a Mt. Penn High School graduate and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He served his community as a fireman at the Reiffton Fire Co. for many years and a Fire Chief from 1957-1958. He loved the outdoors, gardening and his pets. Roger was a volunteer at Mid-Atlantic Air Museum.

In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, Roger is survived by his 2 daughters; Carol A. and her husband Emmett Lien and Joy L. and her husband Michael Berry, brother, Neil Brown, 4 grandchildren; Holli Berry, Ashley and her husband Nicholas Bowles, Kristina Wagers and Cheyenne Wagers and 4 great grandchildren; Adalynn, Hunter, Kynlee and Hudson.

Roger was predeceased by his brother, W. Richard Brown , sister, Carole Ellen Brown and granddaughter, Andrea L. Berry.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA. 19508.

Graveside Services will be Saturday September 10, 2022 at 11am in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Anyone attending can meet at the entrance of the cemetery.
