Adela Jewel Borges

Born April1 3, 1928 in Tampa, FL where she graduated from high school and became a beautician. She met and married her “honey” in Tampa and settled in St Petersburg, FL to raise a family. A job change led the family to the Pacific Northwest in 1968.

She spent most of her life working as a wife and mother but was in later life, employed as a childcare provider and housekeeper.

Adela enjoyed participating in bowling, square dancing, RV traveling, choir, encouraging Seminarians, and other church activities as a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Renton.

She will be remembered as a kind and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis.

Survivors include daughters, Cathie Heinitz (Tom), Anita Lane (J.J.) and Lythia Borges; grandchildren, Jessica Brenneman (Zach), Dan, and Aaron Lane.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 28th, at 10:30 am, at St

Anthony’s Catholic Church in Renton. Burial will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way.

Arrangements are by Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton where flowers and cards may be sent.
