On October 17, 1934, in the city of Caloocan, Philippines Dolores Victorio and Jose Blanco had their second miracle, Adelaida "Ading" Blanco. A young bright eyed child with all the potential of the world would soon embody the mother she was to lose. Ading, with her older sister Veronica, raised their siblings Rolando, Erlinda, Godofredo, Aurora, and Arturo through the Second World War while sacrificing their own education. Veronica took the responsiibilityof taking care of Godofredo and Arturo while Ading took care of Aurora. Ading managed a small store owned by her family in Evangelista, Quiapo, Manila where she met her future husband Marcial Oropesa who worked nearby.
Ading married Marcial at the age of 21 in January 1956. They were blessed with five children: Edna, Elisa, Editha, Roberto and Rommel. She helped her husband raise her children by being a homemaker and helped supplement their income by preparing homemade food called merienda. After her husband passed away in August of 1996, she moved to the United States to live with her daughter Elisa and be closer to her other children living in Canada (Edna, Editha, Roberto, and Rommel). Ading was also blessed with six grandchildren: Randel Glenn, Ayesha Ednalyne, Kristina Bernadette, Jessica Rose, Aliyah Raine, and Rianna Audrey; and two great grandchildren: Mianna Kristine and Ryandre Angelo. Ading took care of her many nieces and nephews, and grandchildren in addition to her own children. She was a strong, joyful. loving and caring woman who never ceased to amaze the people around her. She always thought of others before herself - - - a wonderful person with a big heart; always willing and able to help those in need. A loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Ading will be dearly missedArrangements under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home, Renton, WA.
