

Albert Francis Krush Jr. was born on February 6, 1939 in Tampa, Florida to Albert and Dorothy Krush. He moved to Washington in 1941, graduated from Issaquah High School in 1958 and was drafted into the Army where he served 3 years.
To children young and old he was known as Santa Al, the most giving and selfless person we know, always making us smile. He was known for carrying a small red pouch holding candy canes for all of his good kids and special cards that he would hand out to veterans, thanking them for their service. He even had a bag of stuffed animals that he kept in his trunk to give to his special kids.
Santa Al spent his time visiting sick children at Children's Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House where he would help families celebrate their last Christmas, no matter what time of year it was. He also worked with Helping Hands for the disabled, Toys for Tots, Foster Children, Veterans Hospital and many other non-profit organizations.
Al is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Ellen Krush of Renton; Son Eric and Julie Krush of Gilbert AZ, daughter Dawn and Robert Hawes of Orting; 4 grandchildren, Amber and Kevin Hawes, and Lathan and Madison Krush, 1 great grandson Odin Hawes, and his sister Sharon Silvaggio. He is also survived by his fur kids Lilly and Buddy.
Al went home to his Father, Lord and Savior on July 1, 2017 after a hard fought 4 year battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service wil be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.
