Anthony J. Porcello passed away peacefully on his 95th birthday, the 4th of July, 2018. Anthony grew up in Renton, WA and remained in the local community throughout his entire life. He was in his early 20’s when he met the love of his life, Annie who was his wife of 66 years. The couple started a jewelry business in the 1950’s which after years of hard work and dedication became a successful operation, this business continues to thrive today, now under the management of their grandchildren.

Anthony will always be remembered for his strong faith, dedicated work ethic, his standard of perfection in all areas of his life, his love for his wife and grandchildren, and his love of golf. He attended many PGA golf tournaments and traveled extensively to support those who participated in playing the game. Anthony enjoyed spending his time keeping up with all the sports games as well as staying current with the political news. Anthony and Annie divided their time over the last 30 years between a home in sunny Southern California, and the Northwest.

Anthony had an exceptionally large social circle. He continued to drive himself, remaining strongly independent and socially active up until that last days of his life. As a man of great will and determination, he notified his family that he would see his 95th birthday, which he did, but no longer. He passed away at 12:15am. He is survived by his 5 loving grandchildren.

There will be a viewing held Sunday July 15th at Greenwood Memorial Park from 11am-3pm. The service will take place at 11am on Monday July 16th at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Renton. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Anthony’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

We have known Tony, Ann and family for over 50 years, both in their professional lives and socially as well. Tony has gone to join Ann now, and we can celebrate that, as well as the fact that his was a life well-lived. We loved him for just what he was...sweet, honest, warm; a passionate man of loyalty, integrity and often a dogged determination. He was also quite a dashing figure almost to the last. His faith was a constant in his life, and it was evident in everything he did. That meant he was a man to be trusted in business and in life. Our hearts are heavy and words are difficult to come by to describe how much he meant to us and how much we will miss him. The Renton area has lost an icon....and his friends have lost a dear, dear human being. May your last journey be gentle Tony, and may you enjoy the rewards you have earned with your beloved Ann for eternity.
Our sincere condolences go out to Mark and all the family. We are deeply sorry for your loss! Tony was so very proud of all of you and always made that clear. Your recent losses have been profound ...and our hearts go out to you. There are no words to take away the pain, but may God show you the path through grief to seeing all the treasured memories as blessings to fill your hearts with warmth and love. God bless and keep you all!
