
Betty Lee Seligman (Ouimette) passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 81 in Renton, Washington. She was born on September 8, 1942, in Tampa, Florida, to her parents Raymond Arthur Ouimette Sr. and Lorraine Cecilia Ouimette (Fellion). Betty had an older brother, Raymond Arthur Ouimette Jr.
Betty’s journey in life was marked by a deep love for her family. She married Jerome William Seligman and together they moved to Plano, Texas, where they raised their two sons. Later in life, they relocated to Washington state to be near her sons.
Betty was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for organizing, bookkeeping and maintaining a warm and welcoming home. Her career spanned several administrative roles, and her skills were appreciated by all who worked with her.
Among her many loves, Betty cherished her feline companions, the joy of reading, and the magic of movies. She was a lifelong learner, always solving puzzles and seeking knowledge.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Lester Raymond Seligman (married to Christie LaReine Seligman (Herzog)) and Scott Hamilton Seligman (married to Michelle Lewis), along with her grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth, Benjamin Harris, and Julia Marie Seligman.
A private gathering for close family members will take place to scatter her ashes alongside those of her late husband, Jerry (12/24/36-05/14/98). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Seattle Humane Society in memory of Betty Lee Seligman.
Betty’s warm smile, love for her family, and lifelong pursuit of knowledge will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
May she rest in peace.
