

Charles Mitchell was born November 23 1954 to the union of Bennie C. Mitchell and Willie Mae Mitchell who both preceded him in death. He was born and raised in Seattle’s central district. A true Seattleite he loved the lakes, views, and scenery Seattle had to offer.
He was a true Seahawks, Storm, Mariners, and any other Seattle team fan. As a child, he frequented the rotary boys and girls club where he at one point was a golden glove boy. Charles loved boxing!
He attended Colman, Horace Man, Washington He later attended SOIC and obtained his G.E.D. Charles went on to become a cosmetologist he worked at many well-known salons. Such as Jonny Gillenes, and Magic Touch he was best known for his Texas, and California curls. He then went on to co-own Mr. C’s & Mrs. B’s located off of 24th and Union. He then developed himself into a commercial painter, as a painter he worked at Best Paint Company, Hoagie & Haussen, Long Painting and his favorite was the University of Washington. He was the face behind the register at Richlen’s on 23rd, Union, and Valero on rainier and Othello. He then went on to start his own company C.Me. Painting where he continued until his death. He was a hard worker who took his business seriously.
Charles who was a true comedian in the 80’s and ‘90’s he was actually a part of the Seattle Comedy Club scene performing his standup comedy. He loved to make people laugh. Mr. C was very stylish and stayed sharp known by his family for his suits and matching hats. He loved Rap, Hip Hop, R &B, Jazz, and Old school music. He enjoyed dancing and reminiscing with family and family.
Charles was an amazing storyteller who would have you on the edge of your seat waiting to hear the outcome of the story and most of the time the outcome would be a punch line. Some of his famous lines were “I’m 60 and 0”, I never lose, “Get off me “, it’s on like popcorn!”, “I just rolled a 7” ”, I am in rhythm and when the smoke clears I will still be standing.
Charles passed these sayings down to his children and family whom he loved deeply. He truly was a family man and went out of his way to be there for his girls. His cool calm voice and smooth style exuded strength and comforted us all.
He was a great cook and loved to entertain, Charles will be deeply missed by us all. Charles is survived by his siblings Willene Hardy, Robert Hardy, Shirley A. Mitchell, and George Kennedy Mitchell. His Children Latrell Mitchell, Misty Merida, Latae Mitchell, Elena Mitchell, Tavia Mitchell. In addition, are thirteen grandchildren’s and one great grandchild. Also a host of uncles, aunts, cousin’s nieces, and nephews.
