She was born in July 27, 1946 in Gwangju, Jeolla Namdo, South Korea, a youngest of five children. She lost her parents at the age 8 after the Korean War and lived with her maternal grandmother.
Ms. Min and her family immigrated to Seattle, Washington on August 6, 1982. She worked in a Korean restaurant in Seattle for 7 years before starting her own business, No. 1 Teriyaki located in Pioneer Square in the early 1990s to 2006.
Ms. Min was hard working, selfless, compassionate, generous, had a quick wit & a great sense of humor. She also loved caring for her Cymbidium orchids, gardening her peonies & roses, travelling, she had a passion for Korean cooking, and entertaining her guest with delicious cuisine. She spent her final years nourishing and nurturing her precious granddaughter, Emily. We’ll miss her beautiful smile and funny jokes where always lit up any room she entered.
Ms. Min is forever reunited with her father and mother; two older brothers and two older sisters. May her soul be at peace with her beloved family in heaven. She is cherished by many and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son Joseph, and her daughter Sandra & son-in-law John and her only grandchild Emily.
