David passed at age 83 at home overlooking his beloved garden. He joins his wife Carol Joan Fenske who passed September 30, 2013, and his childhood dog Taffy. He is survived by his children Teresa, Patty, David, and Debbie and grandchildren; Tyler, Marly, and Ben; brother Arvid and sisters Arlyce and Margaret.
David was born in Appleton, Minnesota, served four years in the Air Force, stationed in Fairchild outside of Spokane. He later settled in Renton, WA where he raised his family and built a yard and garden expressing his passion for hard work and the outdoors.
David worked in asphalt construction. He was well known for his perfectionism and work ethic. He was an avid bowler in his youth and developed a penchant for designing and building model birdhouses.
