David Peters

David Allen Peters, 67 of Puyallup Washington peacefully passed away in his home on October 10th, 2014, after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Storm Lake Iowa, to Virgil and Irene Peters. He is survived by his siblings Jim (Fran), Virgil and Gloria Peters, Jeannine (Larry) Nygren, and Carolyn (Bob) Petersen, as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Dave Spent his younger years alongside animals, which sparked his enthusiasm for farming. Dave was a truck driver for many years. After retiring from Fletchers, Dave moved to Puyallup, where he finally fulfilled his dream of growing his own garden. Dave developed quite a green thumb over the years, and made a point to send friends and family home with a bag of fruits and veggies.

When not in his garden, Dave could be found sitting at a card table teaching all his friends and family how to play games. His laughter was contagious. Everyone will miss listening to his stories and seeing his smiling face. He will be deeply missed by everyone who met him.

Family meant everything to Dave. He will live on in the memories we shared with him, and the stories we will tell of this beloved man.

There will be a committal service with military honors on Friday 10/17/2014 at 1PM at Greenwood Memorial Park 350 Monroe Ave NE Renton, WA 98056.
