Lisa was the nicest person I have ever worked with. Lisa was liked by everyone – I have never heard a bad word said about Lisa.

The one thing I will never forget about Lisa is her kindness. She would give you anything she had. She would share food she had cooked or bought with everyone in the groups she worked with.  

Lisa was also a very hard worker and she would always offer to help if another person in the group was getting a lot of work. I was sad and upset when Lisa was given a layoff notice. I wrote to her to tell her it wasn’t anything she had done and it was because of the company cuts due to the covid pandemic. When I found out she had successful in finding another job within Boeing I was delighted. I called Lisa on that Friday and told her she had made my day. She was really happy and excited to start her new job.

I could not believe what I was reading when I was told Lisa had passed away. I still can’t believe it. I am so sorry for Kangmin, their sons and all Lisa’s family. Please accept my sincerest condolences. I still think about all of you.

                                       Lisa Hou a Special Person

I started working with Lisa at Boeing a couple years ago in the Weight and Balance Manual Group. She would always walk in to work and say "Good Morning" with a smile on her face. We would then say "Good Morning Lisa." I believe her pleasant nature would then set the tone for the rest of the day for all of us. Lisa was a gift to us all because she was so pleasant to be around and always willing to help anyone even outside of the group she worked in. She basically taught me how to do the job I'm doing now and was a compelling enough reason for me to join and stay in the WBM Group. At 10:00 am every morning Lisa would round many of us up to go do our morning stretching exercises which she would lead. Sitting next to her, even if I was busy on a given day, she would look at me and say "Come on, come on, let's go stretching!" It wasn't long before more and more people showed up filling up the room where we would do our morning exercise routine providing us a much needed break to our daily work routine. She would often bring in a dish she cooked the night before or bring in a healthy snack. Of course, they were delicious.
When I first found out from Martin that Lisa landed a new job at Boeing on July 31st, I remember immediately calling her that afternoon, like others that day, to congratulate and celebrate with her. I remember being so happy for her that day.  She seemed to be excited as well. Then I got the phone call that following Monday and like others at Boeing who knew her well, my life hasn't been the same since. I didn't want to believe what happened and still don't. As I said from the outset, Lisa Hou was special and a gift to us all.  I like others will never forget her.

What a loss! Sharon was leading the daily stretching program in the Boeing Harbor Point Tech Center. Thanks for doing that! Sometimes we got a full room of Boeing colleagues doing the exercise. I used to join her whenever I can break away from my work and I felt much better with my neck and back pain after stretching.
