

Born to Marcial & Anita Valentin in Calumpit, Balucan province of the Philippines. He was the third child of six children born of this union. He graduated from Torres High School in 1962 and attended Cummins Service Training School in Paranaque, Rizal where he obtained his Automotive Mechanic certification in 1967.
Eduardo married the mother of his four children, Erlinda C. Manansala on May 7, 1967. In October 1970, the two, along with their two small children and in-laws came over to Long Beach, California, USA to start a new life for theirselves and live the American dream. In 1973, the family made the move to Seattle, Washington and eventually moved to Renton, Washington in October 1979.
Eduardo was an excellent mechanic and worked for various truck companies such as Mack Trucks, ABF, ETMF, Kenworth Trucks & Peterbilt. He retired from the City of Tukwila after 20 years of service. He worked in their shops maintaining the City vehicles such as the fire trucks, police cars and service vehicles. He loved being a mechanic.
Eduardo had an extensive gun collection which he was very proud of. When he was younger, he enjoyed going hunting & target shooting with his brother, children and good friends. He was a devout Catholic who attended and gave back to the church. He made the once a month trip to the Grotto in Portland to pray for the sick which meant a lot to him. He also enjoyed fishing, dancing, traveling, going to movies, shopping and spending time with his family. One of his last hobbies which he took up was chickens, he built a chicken coop for the chickens which he proudly showed off.
Eduardo was most proud of his four children, he raised them to be smart, intelligent, strong individuals. For those that knew Eduardo, you could see the pride in his eyes whenever he spoke about his children or grandchildren.
Eduardo is survived by his wife, Florence Valentin of 2 years.
