With great sorrow in our hearts we announce the passing of Effie L. Sullivan. She was a loving mother and great friend to many.
She was born in Cordova, Alaska, grew up in San Diego, CA, and raised her family in Renton, WA. Effie was preceded in death by her husband James R. Sullivan parents Harry Carter and Jessie Deirheim. She is survived by 5 children, Carol Ann Knight (Robby) of Ocean City, CA; Linda Tubbs of Stevenson, WA; Barbara Gruber (Max) of Marysville, WA; Louise Bertram (Terry) of Puyallup, WA; Nancy Auwarter (Todd) of Rochester, WA, sisters Shirley of Bullhead, AZ and June of Glen Rock, WY. She had 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also a special Thanks to Evergreen Hospice who gave their special care and love to her. And most of all to Sharon Van Matre Huber for all her love and caring to our mother. Words cannot thank her enough. Services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park and Funeral Home 350 Monroe Ave NE Renton, WA. Viewing will be on Sunday, 5/17/2015 from 1-4PM and her funeral will be on Monday 5/18/2015 at 10AM with committal to follow.
