Ella was born January 11, 1920 in Bowbells, North Dakota to Rosetta and Otto Mathison. The family of 10 moved to the Seattle area around 1934. After attending Franklin High School, she was married and undertook her lifelong occupation as a wife, mother and homemaker, becoming one of the best in all categories. Her loving hand was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was busy at home, but never too busy for a child that needed her help or attention. Traveling, camping and hunting activities with her family also filled her time. Ella was active in the PTA, as well as being a long time participating member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Mother loved sewing and knitting, but most of all she loved to dance. She participated as a Square Dancer as well as in competition Ballroom dancing.
Mother was predeceased by her parents and all seven siblings; as well as her loving husband, William E. Jensen. She is survived by her six children, Lloyd (Marilyn), Velma Meling (Larry Stoltenberg), Elsie Petrocelli (Rico), Lynn (Doris), Darrel (Marleen), and Steve; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
