Eunice & I were close friends for over 75 years.  We met at our church, Memorial Lutheran Church in Bremerton, WA.  Even though she got married and moved away we kept up our friendship.  We always participated in all our families special days: Wedding's, funerals, retirement and anniversaries.  She never forgot me and my daughter, Susan Thorne's wedding anniversaries which were on Valentine's Day.  We shared many happy secrets & family up-dates.  I will miss our monthly letters, phone calls, photo exchanges & visits.  She was a very caring friend who loved the Lord.  She is with him now in heaven and is resting in his arms.  She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

We were so sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  May our Lord comfort and bless you at this difficult time.  
I remember when your mom and mine would visit with each other at our home.  I remember one time when you and your two brothers and I were playing together at our house in the yard during one of those visits. Good times!
Sorry to hear of your brothers passing, too. The day he passed was 10 years after my dad passed on 10/25/2007.
We will always have fond memories of your mom. She was so respectful, quiet, and sincere. A great person to know.

She and I road our bikes to Nampa Jr. and Sr. High and  around the town and country.  She was always my dear and loyal friend.  I lived with Buethe's in Bremerton for a year.  They were lovely and kind folks.  We had good times.  Gerie Foster

Hello Marla, Mike and family.  We were your grandparent's "across the street" neighbors in Auburn, and subsequently your Mom's neighbors when she lived there.   We had kept in contact over the years at least with Christmas greetings.  We enjoyed attending her and Victor's wedding, and had opportunity to visit them in San Diego.   We remember both your Mom and Grandma Anna, as gracious hostesses, and enjoyed their company.  Thank you for letting us know of her passing.  God Bless you all.

Thank you, Marla, for your card, and the letter letting me know of Christa's passing. I will always have very fond memories of having Christa as my next-door neighbor in San Diego. She was so kind, and often had me over for dinner when my husband was deployed. I no longer live in San Diego, however 2 of the plants that Christa gave me continue to thrive at my mom's home there. One was a cut off of her beloved plumeria tree of which I always think of her when I see it. I loved receiving her letters when she moved back to WA, and will miss those dearly. I know she is happy in heaven and I am thankful that I got to know her. Sending love and prayers to her family and friends.

I will so miss discussing Family Dynamics.  Your stories were very carefully worded as to not offend anyone.  You were a master of telling me to do something without telling me! Not sure if I can come to the service, but will see what I can do.   I have so many good memories, and I will always be happy to have met Chris, Marla, and Mike and Pat.   Good neighbors, and good years as friends.   She lived a long, rich life, and is in a good place now.   I know she will be missed.
