Eva Louise Jassek

Eva was born on January 28, 1931 in Fairview, MT to Arthur Bert Johnson and Rhodell Lucy (Monroe) Johnson. She was one of nine children born to the Johnson’s.

When she was 16 years old, Eva met her future husband, Vincent Michael Jassek, in Werner ND. They were married on October 28th, 1948 and had two beautiful children, Donald Vincent Jassek and Jacqueline Anne Jassek. The family moved to Renton, WA in 1955 where they resided their entire lives and made many life-long friends. Eva was a home-maker most of her adult life. However, when her husband, Vinny, passed away in 1981, Eva went to work at the Highlands Convalescent Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Eva had a zest for living. She enjoyed the annual camping/road trips to North Dakota with her family. She was also fond of fishing, crocheting, quilting, and canning. She had a beautiful smile, a big heart, and a hearty laugh.

Eva was predeceased by her parents, Arthur Bert Johnson and Rhodell (Monroe) Johnson ; her husband Vincent Michael Jassek; her daughter, Jacqueline Anne (Jassek) Hyde; her brothers, Bert Johnson, Donald Johnson, Robert Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, and Clyde Johnson; and her sister, Doris Johnson. She is survived by her son, Donald Vincent Jassek (RuthAnn Walter Jassek) of Bremerton, WA; her brother Raymond Johnson; her sister, Rosemary (Hochberger) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews all of whom loved her deeply and will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 at the Greenwood Memorial Park Chapel, 350 Monroe Ave NE, Renton WA 98056.
