She was born in Italy in 1956 and, with her family, immigrated to the United States at the age of fourteen. She was in the US Army for 31 years, retiring from the US Army Reserves in 2005. After attaining a dual degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Washington, she took a position at Boeing Aerospace as a software engineer. She worked at Boeing for 28 years, retiring in June 2014.
She is survived by her guy, Alan Lemery; her mother, Anna; her sisters, Teresa, Carmela, and Antonella; her nieces and nephews, and many close friends and co-workers
