Fred and I were friends since high school.  We worked as box boys
together.  Went fishing many times and traveled many miles thru
the woods.
I will miss you my friend.

Steady Freddy is a nickname that fits him perfectly. He was always "On Time" and took care of the coffee at every Pancake Breakfast. A core member of our Woodinville Knights of Columbus Council and Saturday morning Spiritual group. He had a gentle soul and will be missed. RIP Brother Fred.


I was sorry to hear about Fred's passing, and I know he will be missed very  much. I'm sorry I will be out of town and thus will be unable to attend the memorial services.

I remember Fred welcoming me and greeting me when I joined the Knights shortly after moving here and joining the parish. He was always willing to do whatever work required doing.

I will do my best to keep Fred's spirit alive in how I perform my ministries.

Fred was always a top Knight, would do anything that you requested, always one of the first to raise his hand to help, within what he was able to do. Fred directly engaged when talking to you, was always interested in others, was real, what you saw is 100% what he was. Fred always took time to talk with me, was someone you could trust, special, he offered friendship. My prayers are with you, Brother Fred. Jim Riddell FDD, PGK

I will remember our conversations and memories together when I came over to visit your son Larry, a true friend I had during high school together and still is today. I will miss you Fred.

SK Fred Russell was a warm, kind gentleman with a great smile.  He was always eager to participate in all the Knights of Columbus functions - even when he required constant oxygen.  He was a strong Patriot.  I have a distressed American Flag given to me by Fred.  He wanted it properly discarded.  The Boy Scouts will do that this Spring in a formal Flag Ceremony.  Fred was also a skilled wood worker.  The Knights have a Beautiful Ceremonial Wooden Case that Fred built.  Fred Russell will be missed! Dan OB
