Fred "Bull" Thomas was born on May 1, 1938, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Robert and Bessie Thomas. He graduated Haynes High School in 1957 and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. Fred later settled in Washington State, where he spent his career as Head Mechanic at Metro, earning a reputation as a skilled and dependable professional.
Known for working hard and playing even harder, Fred was a founding and lifelong member of the Magic Wheels Motorcycle Club. He was famous among his brothers for keeping one of the cleanest bikes around — folks used to joke that Fred could make rust shine. Beyond his mechanical talents, Fred was a gifted bass guitarist and a devoted car enthusiast. If it had an engine, he loved it — and if it was broken, he could fix it.
Fred is survived by his children, Gloria Holland, Ronnie Thomas, Todd Thomas, Stacie Thomas, Frederick Thomas, and Cortnie Thomas; his grandchildren and great-grandchild, who adored him; his siblings, Jackie, Trudie, James, and Dolly; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and his beloved Magic Wheels brothers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Thomas; his parents, Robert and Bessie Thomas; and his sisters, Janie and Eunice.
Fred will be remembered for his larger-than-life presence, his love of cars, motorcycles, and music, his passion for the open road, and his unwavering loyalty to family and the club.
