Memorial services will be held for Gerald "Jerry" Ebel on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 3:00 pm at
Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington.
On October 15, 1939, Gerald was born in Hebron, North Dakota. The youngest son of William
and Clara Ebel, he grew up on the family farm with his brother, Marvin, and his sisters Marylin
and Norma, all of whom have preceded him in death. Gerald graduated from Hebron High
School in 1957. In October of 1957, he joined the United States Navy and served on the USS
Bennington as an Aerographer's Mate Petty Officer 2nd Class until 1960.
In 1962, Jerry began his career with Boeing. He started his family in Montana and raised them
throughout the Midwestern states. After moving to Seattle, Washington in 1980, he met his wife,
Vera. They were married on December 20, 1986 in Idaho. He retired from his Boeing career in
July 1995.
Jerry thoroughly enjoyed life, especially visiting with family and friends, bowling, hunting,
fishing, and square dancing. He is survived by his three daughters Debra Gordon of Eagle,
Idaho, Rebecca Owens of Salem, Oregon, and Michelle Ebel of Maple Valley, Washington, his
stepchildren Bill Mulkins of Renton, Washington and Cathy Mulkins of Des Moines,
Washington, his seven grandchildren Michael, Joshua, Chris, Shama, Samuel, Tylor, and
Elizabeth, and seven and a half great grandchildren.
Gerald will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Vera, in Gooding, Idaho. Funeral services
will be held on Friday, June 1,2012 at Demaray Funeral Service Gooding Chapel at 1:00 pm. To
