Gerald Joseph Smith, born on January 17, 1942, in Ellensburg, Washington,peacefully passed away after struggling with a long illness. Jerry, as he was affectionately known, was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
After high school, he moved to Renton, Washington, where he started a business in 1969, "Beetlesmith’s Valley Auto Service," which continues to operate today. He was an active member of many organizations, including Rotary, Kiwanis, ASA, and several others.
He was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Smith, and his grandson, Joshua Wheatman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Smith, who was his heart and soul; his daughters, Jessica Johnson, Debbie Malone, and Vicki Vaughn; three granddaughters, one grandson, and four great-grandchildren.
Jerry was a wonderful man with a great personality, and he will be loved forever. Rest in Peace.
