Grandma. I miss you so much.  I know you are doing great.  Lots of changes in my life.  Somehow I live in Texas now as well. 😀 I’m doing good and think of you often. Geraldine, was one beautiful lady. Our Mom and Dad always spoke so highly of her.   She & Leslie were so kind to Pat, Rachel and Sarah when they moved to Seattle. That was just  the make-up of Geraldine. She taught our Saran the "Soft 5" instead of the "High 5" which was to strong and hard for a little girl.  I'm sure her Grandkids learned it too.  When  Beth and I visited she and Leslie had us all over for a wonderful family dinner.  Beth came home with a couple of recipes.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Gerry was a very special person and touched us all with her love. Anyone who had the patience to make thst layered jello salad had to be a marvelous cook!

Mrs. Brokaw, We are surely going to missed you.  22 years ago when we move in across the street from your house, you immediately made us feel us welcome to the  Neighborhood,  You  and Mr Brokaw are like a parents to us. You taught me and  my daughter,Megan how to make your  famous Butterflies and cookies. Sometimes I  just go to your house just for a cup of tea and just talk. I have a lot of good memories  and i am sure i will treasure that for the rest of my  Life.

Great Aunt Gerry, I will always remember your great big bear hugs and how you made everyone in your presence feel so loved. Say hello to my grandparents for me as I know they are welcoming you with a big hug.

Aunt Geraldine - I so remember when you first moved to Seattle and our family visited - and the tree fell on the house you were renting -while Mom and I were shopping with you. All were safe. I remember your cooking, your hugs, and your love for your children. So good to know that you are at peace now. My mother and you are catching up on things now.
I hope your children are smiling as the good times are remembered. Leslie take care - Gerri is taking care of you from another place now.

Dear Leslie, Deanna, Leroy, Jean and all the Brokaw clan,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Geraldine was kind and talented, and I have so many fond childhood memories of being with the Brokaws. It was so much fun at your "farm" in Issaquah riding horses and  playing with baby chicks and kittens. Geraldine gave me my first eggs to hatch out baby chicks for a science project when I was still in grade school, and taught me all I needed to know about raising chickens. With most of our family living out of state, Geraldine was our link from "back home" and has always been like an Auntie to me and my siblings. She had the best smile, gave the best hugs, and made the very best cookies. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Brokaw, you will be greatly missed. I always loved visiting you and seeing your lovely crafts as I munched on chocolate crinkles. Having you across the street as I was growing up was such a blessing to me, and most of my memories are sweetened by your and your lovely husband's presence. I gained such a love for the Nativity because of yours being being outside my window. You are greatly loved.

The angels are singing! Gerry, you are so very 
loved and will be dearly missed. The many memories  of  being new young parents  and  moving  across the street from you, to the chocolate crinkle  cookies, walnut trees, birds, coffee visits and your nativity set. I praise God that we were able to be neighbors and friends, our lives were richer for it. Until we meet again- we love you!
