Geraldine “Gerry” Helen (Fiamengo) McLendon passed away peacefully on August 11,2026 at the age of 94. She was born in Bellingham, WA. As a child her and her mother moved from Bellingham to Renton, WA, and after marrying moved to Seattle’s Eastside where they lived for almost 64 years.
Geraldine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Theodore “Ted” McLendon, her parents, Peter Fiamengo and Rena (Plancich) Yeazle, her brother, Milton Fiamengo, and her sister CarolAnn Hughes. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Michael and Ingrid McLendon, Debra Judd, Kim and Dale Robbins, Robin and Laura McLendon, Tim McLendon, Shelley and Steve Barney, and Chris and Toni McLendon as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her legacy continues through her family, to whom she imparted warmth and wisdom.
Geraldine attended Renton High School and graduated in the class of 1949, where she began forming lifelong friendships and community ties. She was an avid traveler, exploring places such as Europe, China, Russia, and Africa, as well as her yearly trips to Hawaii. She loved to bowl, competing on multiple teams throughout her years and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Above all, Geraldine’s favorite moments were those spent with her friends and family, cherishing every opportunity to gather and create memories.
Geraldine’s life was a testament to the power of love and family, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
